About the tradesmen of fyshwick collection. In 1987 we put up posters all over Fyshwick, a Canberra industrial suburb, saying “Wanted Dead or Alive, tradesmen to be photographed for an exhibition”. For weeks, my studio was swamped with tradesmen carrying the tools of their trade. The ensuing exhibition, held in our studio carpark, complete with a spit roast, and barrels of beer, was enormously popular with the media, and the public.
