Tradesmen of Fyshwick – open edition
about tradesmen of fyshwick In 1987 we put up posters all over Fyshwick, a Canberra industrial suburb, saying “Wanted Dead or Alive, tradesmen to be photographed for an exhibition”. For weeks, my studio was swamped with tradesmen carrying the tools of their trade. The ensuing exhibition, held in our studio carpark, complete with a spit roast, and barrels of beer, was enormously popular with the media, and the public. There are more portraits of the Tradesmen of Fyshwick in the Limited Edition Portraits Gallery
