At the Museum I meet Fiona and Magdalene Kerinaiua and the younger Joanita Tipiloura again. Fiona is busy on the computer and Maggie is translating old Tiwi stories to English. Magdalene actually featured in my 1990 book called ‘Tiwi- the life and art of Australia’s Tiwi people’. She was always at the forefront of preserving the language. Joanita will be part of the team at the Museum.
